I dyed my hair

ya see, my hair was bright red for a show back in April.
then it faded to a strawberry blondish color.
then my roots were really starting to show.

needless to say I needed to fix my hair before check-in because those roots were far from the Disney look
lol
So I went with a dark brown. My hair has a natural red hue so of course every color I use pulls out some red so it is more of a dark brown with a red undertone. I'm sure it will be perfectly fine for they Disney look.

here it is...

Well, packing has been going great. I do have a lot of stuff but the bright side is that my paychecks wont go to essentials. I'm set. Well I will need food but that doesn't count haha.

I'm so ready to start!! It is getting so close I can taste it!

until I visit the World. 28 days until I move in. wow. Remember me complaining because the days were going by so slow? Well I take it all back! I feel like I was in the 60s yesterday!

In order to get my mind off of leaving so soon I have decided to really kick my butt in gear to get into shape. I want to put my best most confident foot forward when I meet all these new people.

Things I Still Need To Do:
-pack
-pedi with mom
-color my hair
-get a hair cut
-buy a laundry bag and under bed Rubbermaid container
-get bed padding
-organize
-checking account
-set up the underwater feature on my camera
-get in shape (lol)

that's about it...I don't think I crossed anything off of my original list
oh well, I still have 3 weeks..
right?

I'm so anxious
I want to know where I will be working
I want to start getting into the swing of things
I want to start another chapter in my life

I do not want to leave my family
I do not want to fail
I do not want to disappoint anyone

I will make magic for as many guest as possible
I will work as hard as I possibly can
I will make life long friends and network as much as I can
I will live, learn, and earn in the proper Disney fashion
And I will love every single day of it, because I refuse to waste a single day of this outstanding opportunity I have worked hard for.

well, some real solid packing has began. It is kind of freaking me out. I want to bring everything! I know I can't though argh. I need to be practical, and knowing me I will be buying clothes while I'm there so way over packing is just dumb. About 1-2 weeks before we leave I will be unpacking clothes, editing, and repacking them. I have had a few editing sessions but it is kinda hard to fully pack until I have packed for my vacation. Well that and the fact that I still have like 29 days until I leave. I am rambling, but whatever, no one reads this anyway. It's more of a time consuming vent for myself. haha.

wow, 29 days until we load up the truck and head out and 34 days until I meet my awesome roommate in person, 35 days until I move into my new apartment with hopefully some really amazing people, have an experience of a lifetime, and live/learn/earn in Walt Disney World. It should be pretty cool ")
mannnn, I really am going to miss a select few. The people who are a huge part in my life are going to be greatly missed but I have to remind myself that I will see them again, I'm not leaving forever...well I wont be in Florida forever at least.

Now that I realized that I only have 29 more days I still need to :
1. pack duh.
2. heavily clean up my room/bathroom lol
3. get a new checking account
4. pick up a mattress pad, under bed containers, and white board-cork board combo
5. wait patiently for the fact that I'm leaving to actually hit me
6. get all depressed because I'm actually leaving
7. finish my on board paperwork...I have been too lazy to sit down and finish it.
8. ...
I think there are only 7 things I need to do...maybe? I don't know. I will think about that one lol

anyway that's all for now

Any who, only 40 days until check in and about 34 days until I am visiting the parks with my family. I'm actually a little freaked out that it is almost July. That is suppose to be the month that will fly by and I feel like I have so much I need to do, but in all actuality I only have to pack, finish filling out my On Board paperwork, and set up my new checking account. Not too bad. Packing needs to be the last thing I do. I'm gonna over pack. I know I will. Whatever. Kimberly, my roommate knows this. In other news my lovely Momee (grandmother) took me shopping for my "Disney Look" professional wear and I must say I will be looking snazzy. I didn't shy away from colors and prints in my business clothes because well, that would just be boring. (no offence meant toward people who prefer the black pants white shirt look, it's classic so you will be putting your best foot forward as well =D)

Anyway. Who else is overly excited about the Winnie the Pooh movie coming to theatres July 15?!

yet another

group has checked in..I'm slightly bitter. When is it my turn! OOH yea, August 8th. haha oh well, 55 days and 10 hours. I am almost 100% done with my Disney shopping. I need some business clothes. Now I just really want to pack but I will wait until second/third week of July. How much clothes is acceptable to bring? Even more important, how many pairs of shoes are acceptable! Hello I'm a woman, the decision making portion of my brain is still under developed.

On a different note, who else loved the Tony's last night?!
The Book of Mormon took home 9 awards!

Now, if you are one of those people who do not know what the Tony Awards are then you my dear have broken my heart. The End.

On a different note again! I will be here in 49 days!

kinda hoping we will be staying in the 50's again..We got lucky and had a awesome room in an awesome spot. close to a parking lot, a lake, 2 pools and the front of the resort. Seriously a hop skip and a jump away.
It is such a fun resort!

60 days 6 hours until my internship

60 days, exactly 2 months. I'm freaking out in the best possible way. I have been taking inventory of what I have already for packing and I must say I am doing extremely well. almost done :) well almost done getting stuff i haven't started packing, still too early. I will wait until next month to really focus on that. I wanted to make myself a t shirt quilt before I went down to Florida but I don't think I have the time really. quilts are very time consuming and I have never made one so I'm worried I will try to rush it and mess it up beyond repair so I guess I will wait. I found a old old old pair of light up mickey mouse ears I had as a child  :)

for fun I put the "vintage" wash on it from my phone =D sadly the ears are much to small to actually wear but I decided I want a pair of Minnie sequence ears with bow when I get there  which will fit and be just as fun. I will make this work.

So my dad travels a lot and he likes to bring me back stuffed animals so as anyone can imagine I have accumulated a nice collection. I decided I will be bringing 3 and a pillow pet. The pillow pet is a must because we are driving and it is a great pillow, duh. Well my pillow pet is a unicorn which just makes me laugh. Then I am taking a koala bear my dad brought me from Australia, Batcow from build a bear that my friend made me for my birthday a couple of years ago (thanks Carlo <3 ) and lastly my lovely Yeti ball that I got at animal kingdom. He is pretty bada**

so I will arrive in Disney about a week before my check-in and that is in 66 days (check in) anyway. I'm in a crazy packing mood...I know it is way too early, I still have 2 months! only 62 days until I have my lovely Disney vacation and only 68 days until my Disney College Program begins...that's a high number still...I guess it is much better than the countdown I started in February when I was accepted. Those were the days, when time flew by, then here comes summer slowing everything down! Don't get me wrong I am enjoying my summer with family and friends and sleeping in my own bed (things I will miss) but come on! I'm done whining...I got it all out, now I will keep moving forward and take each day at a time and appreciate how close I am as well as how much time I have home with the ones I love..

70 days 5 hours!

So I don't think my countdown is going anywhere... at all which really sucks. Usually my summers fly by so fast I don't have the time to really enjoy them but now this feels like the longest summer of my life, thus far. Stupid. I have been shopping everyday. I must say I did some "window shopping" on the Disney Store.com and I think working in Merchandise during my CP is a bad idea. I fell in love with way too much stuff! I told my mom that I will starve, come home extra skinny and loaded down with Disney clothes and bags..Oh and Disney Couture Jewelery. On a different note I signed up for a  Disney Heritage course while I'm there on Thursdays and I, along with many others, am on a wait list for the Entertainment Production course. Crossing my fingers for that one! Do you ever find yourself in the mood to cuddle up in front of the TV with a stack of movies and just well, watch. That is my current state of mind. Absolutely nothing sounds better at the moment. I might make it a Disney movie night...hmm. maybe.

I am hearing such great things from Fall Advantage but it was so hot outside today I was actually happy that I am not working in the heat yet even if it is the happiest place on earth.Oh well. I remember saying that the time would fly by but boy is it creeping along...nothing can be done about that. On a Disney un-related note, I went to DSW three days ago to look for some nice solid black flats to be prepared in case I work in a location that I need black flats. I found the ones I wanted, Steve Madden of course, and I ended up leaving with four pairs of shoes, none of which were those original black flats. Fail? nah, I say WIN!

I'm so distracted right now.. Auditions tomorrow then my mind will be cleared for a little while.Or so I hope. Well this lil blogger is having extreme writers block so before this becomes any more random I will retire for the night.

are you over yet? Is it August yet? Okay how about this I will close my eyes and count to ten and when I open them again it will be August..... did it work? no, no I didn't really think it would. Oh well. I tried. So I did a little shopping today for said move and by a little I mean I bought this

I have just noticed that everything I have bought so far

is all polka-dotted...

No I do NOT have a soft spot for polka-dots

I mean they are great and all but not my favorite "pattern" but I have my reasons for all these dots.

reason 1. these mugs are awesome so I needed these dots or not they were coming home.

reason 2. my bedding is red with white polka dots because it reminded me of Minnie Mouse and it was cheap for the whole set, which I needed because I don't have a twin sized bed at home. I will be sewing a black sash and bow to the bottom of said bed spread to make it more Minnie like :)

reason 3. well I got like 2 towels and a little thing of washcloths which so happen to have dots as well. well they were on sale at Wal-Mart but no fear the next towels I get will not have a single dot!

I am determined to not have any more because these rooms are small to have chicken pocks.

Well I am on Pandora radio kick day 2 I would like to blame all the current fall advantage peeps who are starting their internships. I was fine when we were all waiting, now it just doesn't seem fair!

(kidding)

So as mentioned in a previous post I will be auditioning for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

(a musical duh)

Tuesday and after playing with the calender I realized if I make this show I will only have 30 days to focus on waiting to be at Disney World ...SO crossing my fingers for a lovely summer distraction. Because of course I would be focused on the task at hand then when the show is over all that bottled up energy will be ready to burst at the perfect time. So this would be the ideal situation and of course I am getting sick...yay.

Gosh I'm so excited. I know that is probably getting really annoying! Sorry in advance but what else can I really say? I'm waiting and waiting and waiting until July not even August! I just want to be at that 30 day marker because knowing me I will start packing my winter stuff and making 50 million list of what I really need and don't need. I am a over planner when it comes to packing as well as a chronic over packer and well I don't want my roommate to hate me first day in for there not being any room for her in the room haha. I can make this work I just have to edit my wardrobe.. a lot.

Doesn't Pirates come out at midnight or was that last night? I never know I usually don't go to midnight showings because I figure I can see it the next day and enjoy it just as much haha but in loo of the new pirates ...

June will be the hard month that will probably drag on and on but I will have so much to do to get ready in July I have full faith it will fly by much too fast! Anyway I am currently on a Pandora kick. I have it constantly playing on the Disney station. Sad I know but this too shall pass. I got like this when I first got my acceptance email/letter. It is kinda fun, no judgement haha!

lucky me I get a vacation before I start my program so it will probably be about 74ish days until I am home :)

I am so excited, I keep getting a lot of feedback from College Program Alumni and I am in for an opportunity of a lifetime. I never think of myself as a "lucky" person, simpily meaning I'm never the one picked at prize drawings, I never win contest that deal with luck of the draw, I am never the 104th caller... but I was lucky to be chosen for this. So many amazing people will apply and sadly not make the cut

 (try again guys! don't give up!)

but i really do feel lucky. I have an amazing family who supports me 110% (p.s. they are excited for me too!) I have amazing friends who have been putting up with all my constant Disney talk (sorry!) I have the best roommate I could ask for and I will be living among great people for months working at the Happiest Place On Earth.

I would have to say I am a pretty lucky girl!

If not that I will be considering finding a summer job so I do not go crazy waiting for my move
